Use Email:
Set up a guest book on your website and encourage your visitors
to sign in and leave their email address. Email is a highly
effective way to contact your customers. Someone may not check
your site everyday, but they will check email everyday. Put
Art.com affiliate links in an email, it is convenient to click
from a message directly to a purchasing opportunity.
Someone who doesn't click on the link may forward the email to
a friend of theirs who will. These direct and viral marketing
methods work. They will increase your sales.
Use Search Engines:
Having well designed, organized website is not enough. You have
to have traffic. You must index yourself with search engines.
Work with as many as you can and use effective keywords that will
get you in the top 10 or 20 listings on these sites. Experiment
with the keywords or meta-tags. There is no real formula; what
might work on Lycos, may not on Yahoo!
To learn more about Search Engine Indexing go to: Search Engine Watch. Or go
to a search engine and type in "Meta-tags" or "Search Engine
Indexing" and look at the sites they find.
