poise, clarity, and intellect.

business. They show your future employer what type of personality
you have and if you are the right type for their organization.
Conversely, the present an opportunity for you to determine if a
particular organization is right for you.

As a med school student, internships and jobs in the medical
field will give your resume and application added weight because
you have demonstrated initiative by taking active steps towards
your medical career. In addition, internships reveal your
dedication to the fulfillment of your career goals, let you test
out different career options, and introduce you to new

Last-Minute Interview Tips
I'm Late, I'm Late, For a Very Important Date
Don't ever, ever be late. It gives the interviewer the impression
that you are scatter-brained and rushed. If you can't avoid it,
call ahead to inform the interviewer or reschedule the
appointment.
School's Out for Summer
Dont act like youre a student (even if you are). By this, we
mean dont act like your last semester is finally over and sunny
days with plenty of time to chill is what's on your mind. Be
professional, sit up straight, and dress conservatively!
Say Please, and Thank You
Watch your etiquette and manners during the interview. Sit with
your hands folded on the table or in your lap, make eye contact,
dont say "yeah," and don't forget to say thank you.
Time is On My Side
Many people make the mistake of glancing at their watch during
the interview. Bad move...it shows the interviewer that you are
disinterested in what he/she is saying and in the job
opportunity.
And...
It's important to send thank you notes following the interview
and include special thanks to any individuals who went out of
their way to meet with you. If you really want to stand out,
mention something specific that impressed you during your
visit.
