How to Register for the SAT Subject Tests

Registration deadlines tend to fall approximately five weeks before each test date.

Register for the SAT Subject Tests online.

The easiest and most convenient way to register is through the College Board's online form. To register the traditional way, simply fill out the registration form in the College Board's Bulletin for the SAT Program. You can obtain a free copy of this publication through your school's guidance counselor. If this isn't possible, call the Educational Testing Service (ETS) at 609-771-7600 and they'll send you one free of charge.

Taking a Test

On your pre-assigned test date, you will be required to bring your admissions ticket and picture identification (driver's license, school ID card, etc.). You should also bring a couple of #2 pencils with erasers, and if you're taking a Math IC or IIC exam, bring a calculator. Finally, if you're registered for one of the listening tests, bring a cassette player including earphones.
