| Classroom Anywhere/Live Online course |
You can make up your class using the prerecorded online lessons found in your syllabus. |
| Kaplan Advantage/Classroom course |
You can make up your class in one of two ways: The first option is to sit in on the missed session with another class, at any Kaplan location. To find something that works for you, click the Make-Up Session Finder link on your kaptest.com profile (under Your Course Syllabus). The second option is to watch the prerecorded online videos found in your course syllabus. |
| Kaplan Medical Programs course |
Consult your servicing center for make-up options. |
You can transfer to another class any time before your fourth session, with no penalty and no additional fee, provided you remain in the same type of program. (If you are upgrading your program, you'll pay the price difference between your current course and the one you are switching into.)
For available schedules, email us at customer.care@kaplan.com or call us (at 1-800-KAP-TEST) and we'll review your options with you.
To switch your class, call 1-800-KAP-TEST (1-800-527-8378) and select the option for enrolled students. Then press extension 3, and listen to the prompts to select your current program type. The Student Advocate who answers will be able to assist you.
The Higher Score Guarantee is divided into three components:
- Readiness — Don't feel ready to take the test? You don't have to. Study with us again for free for another test date.
- Satisfaction — Took the test and aren't happy with your score? Know you can do better? Study with us again for free for another test date.
- Money-Back — Took the test and your score didn't improve over your baseline* score? You can either study with us again for free for another test date, or get a full refund of your program tuition.
To qualify for the Higher Score Guarantee, you must:
- be taking your Kaplan course for the first time
- (for Advantage/classroom and Anywhere/Live Online classes) have attended all of your class sessions; up to 2 sessions can be made up online with the prerecorded videos
- have completed all of your homework assignments labeled "Required"
- let us know within 90 days of the expiration date of your course that you would like to do a free repeat/get a refund
- (for Money-Back) submit an official score report showing that your score did not improve over your previous official test score (or, in the event you do not have a previous official test score, over your diagnostic score)
For full details and specific requirements, check your enrollment agreement
(available on your
kaptest.com profile page under "Your Course Syllabus", in your lesson book, and at
kaptest.com/hsg).
*Your baseline score is your most recent official test score. If you've never taken the official test, your Kaplan diagnostic score will serve as your baseline score.
The welcome email you received when you first registered for your course includes a copy of your schedule and the location of your course.
For Advantage/classroom courses, you can view your schedule by logging into your kaptest.com account and opening your course syllabus.
Still can't find it? Email us at customer.care@kaplan.com or call us (at 1-800-KAP-TEST) and we'll send you another copy within 24 hours.
Please note: In the event we have to cancel your class or change your schedule, you will be contacted by the Customer Care Center.
Keep in mind that Kaplan allows you to freeze your course for up to a year, if you require a break in your studies. However, if you are absolutely unable to continue your course and need to drop, you may be eligible for a partial refund, depending on how much of the class you have completed so far. See your enrollment agreement (in your kaptest.com profile, under "Your Course Syllabus") for program-specific details.
If you need to put your class on hold, for whatever reason, we welcome you to do so for up to 1 year, provided you:
- have paid in full for your program (or have made your initial payment on the installment billing plan)
- are not studying on an I-20
- have not previously frozen your course
Please email us at
customer.care@kaplan.com or call us (at 1-800-KAP-TEST) for specific rules and requirements, and to request a freeze form.
NOTE: By freezing your course, you will forfeit the Higher Score Guarantee.
If Kaplan cancels a class you have enrolled in, our Customer Care Center will contact you via telephone and email with several options to select from including another scheduled class. If none work for you, you will receive a full refund of all fees paid.
Once you pay your balance in full (or make your initial payment on the installment billing plan), your course materials will be shipped out within 24 hours, via UPS. We'll send you an email with your UPS tracking number, and you can expect to receive the package within 5-7 business days. If you paid for expedited shipping, you'll receive the materials within 3-4 business days.
Students who are currently enrolled in classroom/Advantage and Live Online/Anywhere courses are always encouraged to first contact their instructor with academic questions. Classroom/Advantage teachers always provide their email address on the board at the beginning of each class, and Live Online/Anywhere students are given their teacher's email address on the first day of class.
In addition, we provide free electronic academic support to active Kaplan students. To contact Kaplan's Academic Support team, log in to your kaptest.com profile and open "Your Course Syllabus". On your syllabus, locate the "Getting Started" section (near the top), and click the "Academic Support" link to submit your questions. You'll receive an answer within 24-48 hours.
Alternatively, you can submit academic questions by visiting kaptest.com/contactus. You'll receive an answer within 24-48 hours.
There is no homework before the orientation session or the diagnostic exam, but please visit your kaptest.com profile prior to your first instructional session to sign your Enrollment Agreement and to look over your online resources.
Please refer to the Google maps link in the Welcome Email you received when you registered for the course.
Can't find it? Email us at customer.care@kaplan.com or call us (at 1-800-KAP-TEST) and we'll assist you.
