Profile:
The Faculty of Dentistry was founded in 1908 as the Maritime Dental College. In 1912 the Maritime Dental College became the Faculty of Dentistry of Dalhousie University. The Faculty of Dentistry is an integral part of the Dalhousie University Health Care Complex, including the Faculties of Medicine and Health Professions. The curriculum for the DDS program emphasizes the integration of the biological, behavioral and dental sciences with the introduction to patient treatment in the first year of the program.

Admissions Requirements:
Admission preference for 74 seats is given to Canadian citizens whose place of residence is in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, or Prince Edwards Island. The remaining 8 seats are reserved for applicants from other parts of Canada and the world. The minimum requirements for entry are a bachelor's degree and the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT). There are no prerequisite courses required.
