The CSET is administered six times during the academic year.
The deadline for regular registration is approximately one month
before the exam, although for additional fees you can register
closer to the test date. Each subtest costs $72.00, plus any
additional fees for late registration.
There are three ways to register for the exam: by mail, by
telephone, or online. Telephone registration is available only
for late and emergency registrations, and you can’t register by
mail on an emergency basis; but you can register online at any
time up to the final deadline.
If you need special arrangements for religious reasons or due
to physical, cognitive, or emotional disabilities, you must
notify the test administrators. Details are in the registration
bulletin for Single Subject Examinations for Teachers at cset.nesinc.com.
It is wise to acquire a registration bulletin before the
deadline. The latest bulletin is available at the CSET website,
cset.nesinc.com, or at your local school district office.
