Profile:The graduate program in Vision
Science at The Ohio State University was
established in 1936. Students submit 45
quarter-hours of coursework, an independent
research project and a thesis to receive a MS, then
apply for the Ph.D. program. The Ph. D. requires an
additional 90 credit hours and a dissertation. In
addition to an O.D., the school offers M.S. and
Ph.D. programs in Vision Science, a combined M.S. /
O.D. program, and four post-graduate advanced
practice fellowships.

Admissions Requirements:Three letters of
reference, including one each from an optometrist
and professor, are required. A personal interview
is required. Required courses include:
