What's Included?
Your package will include whatever guidance you need depending
upon where you are in the application process. Remember, your
pre-health advisor is your most crucial source of feedback for
the AMCAS/AADSAS application. If you want assistance with the
supplemental essays or interview prep, or if you lack an advisor,
Kaplan can certainly help. The Advantage 6 Hour Package could
cover developing an application timing strategy, discussing
specific schools and what they seek in candidates, critiquing and
discussing a first draft of a personal statement or supplemental
essay set, and reviewing the resume. See the timeline below for
how long each application "item" typically takes the consultant
to gauge your package selection.
Each package kicks off with a 15-minute introductory call,
during which you and the consultant exchange contact information
and briefly strategize about how you will structure your sessions
together. From there, you and the consultant will act as a team,
attacking your applications from the most ideal angles for you.
You also receive free, immediate access to our Online
Toolkit, which keeps your admissions efforts focused and
organized.
Students often use their Advantage 6 Hour Package for:
- Idea exchange on how to best package your candidacy,
including the theme for your application(s)
- Assessment of the likelihood of acceptance at your target
schools, refining or finalizing the list as necessary
- Development of an action plan and strategy for timing and
meeting your application deadlines
- Brainstorming for possible essay topics that reflect your
personal traits, experiences, and accomplishments
- Discussion of the specific personalities of your targeted
schools and how best to customize your supplemental essays
- Review and critique of your essays or personal statement
for content and depth
- Review of your resume to ensure that it exhibits your
achievements strongly
