The Alfred P. Sloan School of Management began in 1914 as Course XV, Engineering Administration, at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Prominent alumni include Former U.N. Secretary-General and Nobel Peace Prize winner Kofi Annan, SF ’72; former HP president and CEO Carly Fiorina, SF ’89; and Ford chairman and former CEO William Clay Ford, Jr., SF ’84.

In MIT Sloan's interdisciplinary and diverse research centers and groups, faculty work with industry to develop the knowledge, insight, tools, and techniques that shape the future of management.
