Amy received her Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from Wellesley College in Massachusetts. She also earned her Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota and holds a position as a tenured Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Texas in San Antonio, Texas. She has served on the admissions committee for her department's graduate program and has advised numerous students in the graduate application process over the past 14 years. Amy also serves on the editorial board of a professional journal in her field and acts as a content editor and reviewer for academic journals and publishers. In her volunteer work, she has assisted in a variety of recruitment and admissions-related capacities with the Wellesley College Alumnae Club in South Texas. She has won numerous grants and awards in the course of her academic career through a competitive process that continues to hone her own application skills to the benefit of her clients. Currently, she serves as an American Political Science Association (APSA) Congressional Fellow in Washington, D.C.
