Pre-Med Admissions Consultant

Eric Chanowski is a Medical School Admissions Consultant with Kaplan. He is a B.S. graduate of the University of Michigan where he was a Goldwater Scholar and Phi Beta Kappa graduate with majors in Honors Chemistry, Biochemistry, and a minor in Physics. Eric applied widely to Medical Scientist Training Programs (MSTP) and traditional MD programs across the country. He interviewed around the country at programs including Harvard, Yale, UCSF, Washington University in St. Louis, the University of Michigan, the Tri-I MSTP program at Cornell/Rockefeller/Sloan-Kettering, Northwestern, and Johns Hopkins, among others. He had the difficult decision between many wonderful training programs, and he is happy to remain at the University of Michigan where he is a medical student and a member of the medical school admissions committee. As a member of the admissions committee he reads applications, interviews applicants, and evaluates candidates.

Eric has been helping people gain acceptances to medical school for the past four years as an MCAT instructor for Kaplan. He has focused on helping students reach their personal goals and his former students attend or have gained acceptance to medical schools across the country including prestigious universities such as Columbia, the University of Michigan, the University of Pittsburgh, and Washington University in St. Louis. Furthermore, he has helped students get into the state schools of their choice including Medical College of Wisconsin, Wayne State University, University of Alabama – Birmingham, and the University of Cincinnati.
