Evan
Business Admissions Consultant

|
Evan earned an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business with a dual major in strategic management and entrepreneurship. He also received admission to the University of Michigan Business School and the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business where he was offered a $10,000 merit based scholarship. These accolades are mentioned because, despite his accomplishments at the undergraduate level, high GMAT score (730), and impressive work experience, Evan was rejected by every business school the first year that he applied. The next year, he learned everything he could about the application process, and earned admission to three of the top schools in the country. Over the next two years, he had great success helping friends and former colleagues earn admission to top business schools. Since he enjoyed helping others to achieve their goals, Evan decided to work for Kaplan as an admissions consultant so that he could utilize his knowledge of the application process to benefit others. During the past six years, he has helped clients based on their specific needs, whether they secured admissions to some of the nation's top business schools, including Wharton, Michigan, Kellogg, Columbia, and Stanford or earned admission to lesser known schools that were more appropriate for them. Evan has previously provided public seminars on business school admissions strategies in Northeast Ohio. He has also worked as a GMAT instructor for Kaplan in both the Cleveland and Akron offices, so he is familiar with all of the key components of the application process. While at Wharton, Evan received recognition for his Field Application Project being chosen Best in School out of 144 other projects. He also holds an undergraduate degree in business from Miami University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and Valedictorian of the School of Business with minors in International Business and Decision Sciences. His previous work experience includes five years of management consulting for Fortune 500 clients in a variety of industries including: utilities, manufacturing, financial/credit card services, distribution/transportation, and government/defense. Evan also has two years of industry experience with a world-leading direct marketing organization. He completed his Master of Arts in Teaching Integrated Mathematics from Kent State University in May 2005, where he graduated as co-valedictorian of his class. |
