Pam has been working as a Kaplan consultant for the past 2 years. During her time with Kaplan she’s helped many students gain admission to top Business Schools. As a former Dean of Admissions at a top 25 Business School she understands what Admissions Committees are looking for and how to best present an applicant’s strengths (and weaknesses). While serving as Dean of Admissions at Simon, Pam sat on the board of the Consortium for Graduate Study in Management and was active in the Graduate Management Admissions Council. These positions offered a unique opportunity to work with other Directors of Admissions, providing her with additional insight into Business School Admissions.
She enjoys working with students to strategize about the best set of schools for them to apply to, how to select appropriate recommenders, how to put together the strongest possible application package and how to best prepare for an admissions interview. Pam has also helped clients deal with wait list situations and successfully request funding from schools. She believes that it is critical that applicants have a good sense of why business school, and why now and what they hope to accomplish in business school and after. These factors help provide the basis for selecting the appropriate schools to apply to and then effectively marketing yourself to those schools.
Pam received her MBA from Simon and joined a money management firm prior to becoming Dean of Admissions at Simon for 9 years. As Dean of Admissions she interviewed thousands of applicants for Business Schools all around the world and has read even more applications! Currently, besides working for Kaplan she works part time as Director of Marketing for a Graduate School of Education.
