Full-time LSAT teacher Rebecca Houck started out her career with a BS in Astronomy & Physics from Ohio State and an MS/MBA from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA. She retired as a U.S. Naval officer and spent another decade working as an IT systems analyst for the Department of Defense while attending the evening program at Thomas Jefferson School of Law on an LSAT scholarship. She was honor society and law review at TJSL, and earned her JD cum laude in 1997, passing the California bar exam shortly thereafter. She practiced criminal defense law as an associate of her attorney husband for a brief period. But what Rebecca really loves is teaching, which she has done part time over the years at such schools as the National Defense University, the University of the District of Columbia, National University, and Cuyamaca Community College. In 2006, Rebecca joined the Kaplan faculty and she has loved her work thoroughly ever since.
