Dr. Emil Chuck

Dr. Emil Chuck has helped hundreds of students as Health Professions Advisor and Term Assistant Professor of Microbiology and Molecular Biology at George Mason University since 2006. To this end, he assists many of his own applicants in self-assessing their preparation for a health professional future and in helping them prepare their application essays and interviews. He also chairs the Medical Sciences Advisory Committee and writes all the institutional letters of evaluation for applicants.

Dr. Chuck has worked with students and professionals who are dedicated towards research careers (academic, industry, and "alternative") based on over three years of experience as one of five national advisors for the AAAS Science Careers Forum. He has also been an invited speaker to SACNAS, the Association of Minority Health Professional Programs, the National Postdoctoral Association, the National Association for Advisors of the Health Professions, the American Dental Education Association, and the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine. He advises and organizes events for eight pre-health clubs at George Mason covering allopathic and osteopathic medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, optometry, veterinary medicine, and biomedical research.
