We regularly offer free events and resources to prospective graduate students. One of the most significant that you can pass on to advisees is the opportunity to take a FREE GMAT practice test. The chance to wrestle with a computer adaptive test (CAT) —in a format and interface realistic to the GMAT—is valuable to anyone thinking about applying to business school. Attendees will receive a score that reflects their current level of GMAT performance as well as answers and explanations to each question on both sections of the test. Pass along the link below so your future students can sign up for a free practice GMAT.
Also, keep your eye out for:
The GMAT test change: Save the Date for an online session, “Advising Seniors and Juniors on the GMAT Test Change,” next month, on Thursday, March 22nd at 4:00 PM EST. In this session, we’ll review the changes to the GMAT and discuss the takeaways for seniors and juniors. Whether students are taking the current GMAT or the new format, you can share a few simple tips with them to help maximize their success. We’ll add login information to the session in next month’s blog.
Integrated Reasoning: The GMAT is changing in 2012—it’s getting a new section called Integrated Reasoning. With four new question types on top of the five types in the Quantitative and Verbal section, Integrated Reasoning will pose an additional challenge on a test that already takes 100 hours, on average, to score 600+ or 700+. To learn more about the changes and what they mean for MBA applicants, visit our test change information page, created in consultation with GMAC, at testchange.com.
