It seems that every year the pace of life gets faster and faster. With mobile technology, we literally have the answer to almost anything at our finger tips – except for the answer to the age question “What is the meaning of life – though some will argue it is 42!
But sometimes a web article just isn’t enough – we need the information taught to us, by an expert, and shown to us so we can see and understand what we are learning. Students studying for the MCAT are faced with this challenge every day as they prepare for the most important exam of their lives – so far. And while they could pore through summations of the sciences like those found in Kaplan’s MCAT Review Notes, sometimes they just need something even faster!
We are excited to announce that the first of Kaplan’s MCAT Fast Facts videos are now posted on our Youtube channel. The idea behind the fast facts is to give a short but in depth discussion and demonstration on a singular MCAT topic that can prove challenging for students. The first two are about Rotational Motion and Resistance and they are the first of many more to come! They are presented by Dr. Jeff Koetje, one of Kaplan’s most veteran MCAT experts and current director of education and research for the American Medical Student Association. I encourage you to watch the videos – they are each about four minutes long – and share them with your students.
Also on our channel, you will find excerpts from our Medical School Insider Event. These are also short segments that quickly focus on one topic and question! Stay tuned for more information about the 2013 Medical School Insider coming in late spring!
As a final note for today, I hope you and your students are enjoying the new year and the start of the term. As a reminder, students who enroll by the end of January will receive a full year of MCAT prep! We look forward to working with you and keeping you up to date on what we have going on throughout the year!
