Classes are almost, if not already, over. Graduation is quickly approaching, and shortly after the ceremony your transcript and application will be delivered to the state board of nursing. Once you receive your authorization to test–please see This graduation timeline for full details–you can schedule your testing appointment with Pearson VUE.
When the day of the test is at hand, many factors will contribute to a successful testing experience. We’ll focus on two areas: academic preparation and operational organization. Our experts have some great tips to keep you on top of your academic game on test day. We’ll cover everything from study strategies to relaxation techniques, and give you ideas for sailing through the testing experience.
Solid academics, however, are not the sole key to success. All of your studies will be wasted if you don’t follow the rules on test day. We’ve all had experiences in school when an understanding faculty member gave us the benefit of the doubt when we were in a bind. The monitors at the testing center cannot be as accommodating so, please make sure you take the time to review procedures before test day.
You have a great resource in your NCLEX Candidate Bulletin from NCSBN, but this document is quite large. We’ve worked to edit it down to the basics for you, but please remember to consult the bulletin if you need more information for anything covered below.
