What's a session like?
Each session is hosted by a live teacher on camera, while several other teachers provide support through the live chat and polls. Learn about each section of the test then dive into more depth on the topics and question types you will see on the official exam. We'll focus on strategies to get you through the test with confidence.
What's covered in the Math sessions?
In the Math session, we'll go over commonly-tested topics like algebra and exponents. You'll also find out what types of questions you'll see on the Math—No Calculator section and how to answer them easily. Complete your prep by practicing math strategies that allow you to move more quickly and accurately through the math sections.
What's covered in the Verbal sessions?
Our Verbal sessions spend 60 minutes on the Reading portion and the other 30 minutes on the Writing and Language section. You'll discover methods for note-taking and strategies to answer the questions, especially challenging question types like Command of Evidence. Finish out the session by reviewing the grammar and pronoun rules you'll need for test day.
How do I know if I need Introductory or Advanced?
If you have taken the SAT before or a practice test, look at your test scores and percentiles. Using those results, you should be able to determine if you need to brush up on key topics or if you are ready to dive into advanced material. If you’ve never taken the SAT or know you have a lot of room for improvement, you’ll probably want to start with the Introductory sessions. Looking to get in as much review as possible before test day? You can take both the Math and Verbal lessons using our Combos as they will cover each section of the test.
What if something happens after I register, and I can’t attend the session live?
Your registration includes access to a prerecorded Lesson on Demand and a PDF of the session, which includes the answers and explanations for the session’s practice questions.
