Will I get to practice before the simulated exam?
Yes, you’ll warm up before your practice exam by working through real cases in a group setting. Integrate everything you’ve learned in Online lectures and virtual workshops by actively working through a series of cases in a supportive, group setting with an expert physician teaching assistant and standardized patient. Put it all together and build confidence ahead of your practice exam.
How will I interact with the Simulated Patients (SPs) in a virtual setting?
This is a simulated exam that follows the format of the standard Standardized Patient Exam, except it will be administered using a video conferencing system. The timing for the encounters and interactions will be roughly the same as in-person with one major exception: the physical exam and exam results will be completed verbally. In other words, the student might say something like “I’ll observe the abdomen, auscultar for bowel sounds, percuss to find the liver border, and palpate for masses or pain.” The SP will respond by saying, “The exam is normal except for rebound tenderness.
Do I get an additional videos outside of my Live Online lectures?
Yes, students receive 2 month's access to Self-Paced videos from start date of course.
Does this course include patient note practice?
Yes, patient note practice is included in your prep. You’ll discover how to form a differential diagnosis in a quick and accurate manner and how to document supporting data under time pressure in your patient note. You will be given a link to the Patient Note System with login credentials for use during the simulated examination.
How will my Step 2 CS practice exam performance be evaluated?

Can I add an additional practice exam to my Step Live + Practice exam course?
