Refund Policy

Within 48 hours of receiving access to your program of choice, you may cancel for a 100% tuition refund. For any cancellation after 48 hours, there will be no refund and you will continue to be obligated to complete payment obligations of tuition charged if any are outstanding at the time of cancellation. Registration fee, shipping and handling fees, installment billing, and late payment fees are non-refundable.

If you choose not to take the next scheduled bar exam, you may retake the same Bar Review program within one year of your original start date for an administrative fee or at any time thereafter for a discounted fee.

If a demonstrated personal emergency interferes with your bar review program, you can postpone your bar review program one time for up to one year from your original start date, without an administrative fee.

Please note that this section does not apply to purchasers of Law School to Lawyer Bundle who receive access to Bar Review post graduation of law school. Please refer to the Graduate Program section to review the refund policy.

Tutoring Policies: All Kaplan tutoring sessions are delivered via phone or video chat. Tutoring sessions are non-refundable after the first session has commenced. If You miss a scheduled session, Kaplan will make efforts to reschedule that session. If a mutually convenient rescheduled appointment cannot be reached, the hours for that missed session will be forfeited.

For all Live Online, In Person, Plus, Bootcamp, and On Demand programs, the cancellation terms are as follows:

• Within 3 days of your purchase date: 100% of program tuition is refundable
• Within 4 to 7 days of your purchase date: 75% of program tuition is refundable
• Day 8 or more from your purchase date: No refund is available.

For Law School to Lawyer Bundle (Live Online LSAT Prep Course, Admissions Consulting, and Bar Review) the cancellation terms are as follow:

Purchasers of this bundle must call 1-800-527-8378 to select the course schedule for their LSAT prep, schedule consulting sessions, and, after completing law school, to select a Bar Review course schedule from available product offerings at that time. Online registration for components of the Law School to Lawyer Bundle is not available at this time.

The cancellation terms are as follows:

• Within 3 days of your purchase date: 100% of program tuition is refundable
• Within 4 to 7 days of your purchase date: 75% of program tuition is refundable
• Day 8 or more from your purchase date: No refund is available.

For Accounting Fundamentals, Statistics Fundamentals, Finance Fundamentals, and Business Fundamentals Bundle:

• Within 3 days of your purchase date: 100% of program tuition is refundable
• Within 4 to 7 days of your purchase date: 75% of program tuition is refundable
• Day 8+: No refund

Tutoring Policies: For LSAT, MCAT, GMAT, GRE, DAT, OAT* the cancellation terms are as follows:

Before your tutoring sessions begin:

• Within 3 days of your purchase date: 100% of program tuition is refundable
• Within 4 to 7 days of your purchase date: 75% of program tuition is refundable
• Day 8+: $75 per unused tutoring hour for Standard Private Tutoring, $150 per unused hour for Premium Tutoring (including Manhattan Prep Private Tutoring for the GMAT and GRE exams) is refundable provided the request is made during your enrollment or within 90 days of expiration.

After your tutoring sessions begin:

• After the first tutoring session: $75 per unused Tutoring hour for Standard Private Tutoring, $150 per unused hour for Premium Tutoring (including Manhattan Prep Private Tutoring for the GMAT and GRE exams) is refundable provided the request is made during your enrollment or within 90 days of expiration.
• After tutoring hours have been used: No refund

You and your tutor(s) will plan a schedule that is mutually convenient. If You need to cancel or postpone a lesson, You must directly notify your tutor at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to do so will result in a deduction of the hours from your tutoring package or payment of a $100 rescheduling fee, at Kaplan’s discretion.

• Prior to 50% of sessions: A prorated refund, calculated based on the last date of attendance in the scheduled sessions, will be used. Partial attendance in a week will count as a full week of attendance. Only in the first week of sessions, the prorated amount of tuition withheld will not exceed 10% of the stated tuition up to a maximum of $1,000.
• Shipping and handling fees for any materials shipped will be deducted from any refund owed.
• After 50% of sessions occurred, no refund will be issued.

USMLE Step 1 Prep On-Demand, USMLE Step 2 Online Prep On-Demand, USMLE Step 3 On-Demand, Qbank, Qbank Integrated Plan, Step 2 CS Live (4 Day), Step 2 CS (1 Day) Practice Exam

• Within 3 days of your purchase date: 100% of payment is refundable
• Within 4 to 7 days of your purchase date: 75% of payment is refundable

Note for Promotions: For Plus program or MultiStep program enrollments, the cancellation terms follow the above guidelines for each separate component of the Program. If you received a promotional discount conditioned on purchasing multiple products or programs together and you subsequently cancel, withdraw, or fail to attend any one or more of these products/programs, the discount will be invalid and the refund owed (if any) will be calculated using first the retail prices of the product without the discount applied and then applying the pro rata refund policy above.

In Person and Live Online:

• Within 14 days of your purchase date AND before the first scheduled class session occurs: 100% of program tuition is refundable
• 15 days or more after your purchase date AND before the first scheduled class session occurs: 75% of program tuition is refundable
• Once the first scheduled class session occurs, no refund will be issued.

NCLEX-RN Prep, NCLEX-PN Prep, NCLEX-RN International Prep, ISPN Prep, CGFNS Prep, all QBanks, and Prep Packs

Self-Paced:

• Within 14 days of  your purchase date: 100% of payment is refundable
• Within 29 days of your purchase date: 75% of payment is refundable

30 or more days after your purchase date: No refund

For Pre-College In Person, Live Online, Plus, and Self Paced programs, the cancellation terms are as follows:

• Within 3 days of your purchase date: 100% of program tuition is refundable
• Within 4 to 7 days of your purchase date: 75% of program tuition is refundable
• Day 8+: No refund

Before your tutoring sessions begin:

*Refunds for unused tutoring hours must be redeemed within 90 days of expiry date.
