Our team of teachers and tutors is the foundation of our programs. Each has second-to-none credentials, top test scores, and extensive training and development. Kaplan's teacher certification and development program ensures that our teachers and tutors are authorities on the tests, on score-raising strategies, and on teaching practices to raise test scores.
Niamh attended Brown University, where she studied education and linguistics. Outside of her Kaplan classroom, Niamh is pursuing a masters degree in speech-language pathology at Teachers College.

"When I was 6 years old, I was on a billboard promoting osteoporosis awareness. I wore my Girl Scout uniform and even had a milk mustache. Got milk?"
Jan has taught for more than 8 years and is one of Kaplan's elite pre-college instructors. As a graduate of the Bronx High School of Science, he understands the rigors of attending an elite school and looks forward to the daily challenge of helping other students gain admission. When he's not working, you can find Jan working out or snowboarding in the wintertime.

Arthur has taught for more than 11 years and is one of Kaplan’s elite instructors. When he's not working with students, you can find him biking through the crowded streets of New York City.
"I can recite players' names from almost every Mets team of the past 30 years. The 1986 World Series was the first event I ever saw on television, so my loyalty runs deep."
"I won a school spelling bee in the fifth grade, and came in second in the seventh grade. I lost on the word 'plateau,' which I will never spell incorrectly again!"
Michael Silberblatt grew up in San Diego, CA and is a graduate of Northwestern University. Since moving to New York City in 2014, he has enjoyed working closely with students across all five boroughs to help them successfully achieve their SAT, ACT, SHSAT, SSAT, and ISEE test score goals! Michael has worked at the U.S. Department of Education's Presidential Scholars Program and continues to work with the National YoungArts Foundation to provide high school students in the arts with life-changing experiences and career opportunities.

Angela attended Ursinus College. She has been teaching with Kaplan for 3 years and aims to bring humor and positive energy to all of her classroom sessions.
"I invested a large amount of time in collecting every available Pokémon in the Nintendo series."

Jabari is an alum of NYU and Yale. He has taught for Kaplan for the past 6 years, throughout New York City and Connecticut, to students aged 9 to 40. His most commonly taught courses are the SAT, LSAT, and SHSAT.
