About the Bar Exam
The Indiana Bar Exam is a two-day exam. It takes place on the last Tuesday and Wednesday of February and July. The MEE® (Multistate Essay Examination) and MPT® (Multistate Performance Test) take place on Tuesday and the MBE®(Multistate Bar Exam) takes place on Wednesday.

Bar Exam Format
The Indiana Bar Exam is a two-day exam:
- Day 1: AM: Two Multistate Performance Tests (MPT®s) PM: Six Multistate Essay Exam (MEE®) essays.
- Day 2: 200-question, multiple-choice Multistate Bar Exam (MBE®).

Business Associations (Agency and Partnership; Corporations and Limited Liability Companies), Civil Procedure, Conflict of Laws, Constitutional Law, Contracts, Criminal Law and Procedure, Evidence, Family Law, Real Property, Torts, Trusts and Estates (Decedents' Estates; Trusts and Future Interests), and Uniform Commercial Code (Secured Transactions).

Grading
2020 Bar: The MPT® accounts for 20%, the Indiana Essay Examination accounts for 30%, and the MBE® accounts for 50% of the overall exam score. Passage is a combined scaled score of 264.

A minimum passing scaled score is 80 or higher.

Reciprocity
2020 Bar: Indiana permits admission by motion. Applicant must have actively engaged in the practice of law for a period of at least five of the seven years immediately preceding the date of application.
