About the Mississippi Bar Exam
The Mississippi Bar Exam is a two-day exam. It takes place on the last Tuesday and Wednesday of February and July. Six Multistate Essay Examination (MEE®), six Mississippi Essays and one Multistate Performance Test (MPT®) are administered on Tuesday and the Multistate Bar Exam (MBE®) is administered on Wednesday.

Bar Exam Format
The Mississippi Bar Exam is a two-day exam:
- Day 1: AM: Four Mississippi Essays, One Multistate Performance Test (MPT®) PM: Two Mississippi Essays, Six Multistate Essay Exam (MEE®) essays
- Day 2: 200-question, multiple-choice Multistate Bar Exam (MBE®).

Testable subjects: Administrative Law, Contracts, Business Organizations, including Corporations, Partnership, and Agency, Criminal Law and Procedure, Domestic Relations, Evidence, Federal Income Taxation, Federal Jurisdiction and Rules of Civil Procedure, Practice and Procedure of Mississippi Courts, Professional Conduct and Ethics, Real Property, Torts, Uniform Commercial Code, Constitution of the United States and the State of Mississippi, Wills, Estates, Trusts and Future Interests, Conflict of Laws, Bankruptcy

Grading
The Mississippi Bar Exam will require a minimum scaled combined score of 132 points points to pass. The MBE® is weighted at 40% of the score, the Mississippi Essays are weighted at 30%, the Multistate Essays are weighted at 15%, and the MPT® is weighted at 15%.
MPRE®
The minimum passing scaled score is 75 or higher. The acceptable MPRE® score may not be earned more than 24 months prior to or 12 months following a passed Mississippi Bar Examination.
Reciprocity
Mississippi permits admission on motion, without examination, for applicants who are admitted to practice and are a member in good standing in at least one reciprocating jurisdiction and have received a J.D. from an ABA-approved law school.
