FAQs
Is the free GMAT test for the new GMAT?
Yes! We use the official practice tests from mba.com. They’re literally made by the same people who make the official GMAT—so they’re the best available practice tests. (If you later take one of our comprehensive study programs, we’ll also buy the paid official practice tests for you.)
When you sign up for a free GMAT practice test, you’ll get access to Manhattan Prep’s full Free Starter Kit, which will get you ready to take your first test (including time management strategies for all three sections). The Free Starter Kit will also provide you with Manhattan Prep’s own proprietary CAT Review Tracker to deeply analyze your results.
When determining your strengths and weaknesses, there’s a big difference between careless mistakes and legitimately wrong problems, or between problems you get right quickly and problems you get right slowly. Our post-test Review Tracker will help you to properly classify these kinds of results and to know what to do about them.
How long does it take to take a GMAT practice test?
The GMAT test contains three 45-minute sections, so the total testing time is 2 hours 15 minutes. There’s also a 10-minute break, so your total time is just under 2.5 hours.
Also plan to spend about 1 to 1.5 hours per section reviewing the problems and analyzing the test results—so a total of about 3 to 5 hours to analyze your strengths and weaknesses after you’re done with the test.
