Studying for the MCAT in Farmington, NM

Whether you're just getting started on your MCAT prep in Farmington or you're taking the test tomorrow, we've put together some tips to help raise your score. If you haven't registered for the MCAT, you'll find the list of MCAT testing centers available in New Mexico. The MCAT is a computer-based test, and is offered on specific dates in January and April through September as a computer-based test at several testing centers in New Mexico. It's wise to register early.

Once you're registered, check out average scores for schools you're applying to. The MCAT is a very important factor in medical school admissions. You should begin your preparation early, even as soon as you know your test date.

Ideally, you will want to take the MCAT only once, but it's not uncommon to retake the MCAT. You can take the MCAT three times in one year, but no more than 7 times in your lifetime, and since the exam requires a large investment of time to prepare for, you want to avoid retesting unless you absolutely have to. The typical MCAT test-taker in Farmington spends about four to five months studying for the exam. Once you're registered for your test date, you can use a variety of books, apps, or prep courses to get ready for the exam.

MCAT prep courses are always available as an option to help you raise your score. If you can't find a local option in Farmington, know there are many online options with live instruction available.
