About the Bar Exam
The Nevada Bar Exam is a three-day exam. It takes place on the last Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of February and July. The Nevada State portions of the exam take place on Tuesday and Thursday and the Multistate Bar Exam (MBE®) takes place on Wednesday.

Bar Exam Format
The Nevada Bar Exam is a three-day exam:
- Day 1: AM: Three essays; PM: One essay and one Multistate Performance Test (MPT®)
- Day 2: 200-question, multiple-choice Multistate Bar Exam (MBE®)
- Day 3: AM: Four essays
Subjects Tested
The Nevada Bar Exam tests: Legal Ethics, Agency and Partnership; Community Property; Conflict of Laws; Constitutional Law; Contracts; Corporations; Criminal Law and Procedure; Evidence; Persons and Domestic Relations; Real Property; Remedies; Torts; Uniform Commercial Code (Articles 2 and 9); Wills, Estates and Trusts; as well as pleadings and practices under both the Nevada Rules of Civil Procedure and the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. Both fundamental legal principles and Nevada law are tested and may embrace more than a single subject.
Bar Exam Dates
The Nevada Bar Exam will be administered on:
- 2024: July 30-31,
- 2025: February 25-26, and July 29-30
Grading
The Nevada Bar Exam will require a minimum scaled score of 75 points to pass. The MBE® is weighted at 33% of the score, the Essays are weighted at 55.9%, and the MPT® is weighted at 11.1%.
MPRE®
A minimum passing scaled score is 85 or higher.
MPRE® Transfer Policy: The MPRE® score that you are trying to use must be within the last 2 years.
Reciprocity
Nevada has no reciprocity or admission by motion of any kind.
Other Requirements
In order to pass the exam, applicants must earn a scaled score of 75 or higher on at least three essay questions.
