WE’RE CONFIDENT IN YOUR SUCCESS ON THE MCAT EXAM

We stand behind our decades of expertise in MCAT prep. If you don’t score a 515+ or increase your score by 15+ points (depending on your baseline exam), we'll either give you your money back or let you retake your prep for free.

§ How Does the MCAT® 515+ Score or 15+ Point Increase Guarantee Work?

  • Limited to first-time Kaplan students enrolled in our 515+ MCAT Course, Premium Tutoring, or Online Bootcamp.
  • You must establish a baseline score prior to your first tutoring or live class session, either by completing a Kaplan-proctored diagnostic or by providing a previous official test score from the test administrator.
  • If your baseline MCAT exam score is a 500 or more, we guarantee a minimum score of 515 on the actual MCAT exam, provided you complete our recommended work. (e.g. If your baseline exam score is a 505, we guarantee you will score a 515 or higher.) See more details below.
  • If your baseline MCAT exam score is under 500, we guarantee a 15-point improvement on the actual MCAT exam, provided you complete our recommended work. (e.g. If your baseline exam score is a 490, we guarantee you will score a 505 or higher.) See more details below.
  • You must take the official MCAT exam within 60 days of your last Bootcamp, Live Online, or In Person course session.
  • Within 60 days of your Kaplan program expiration date, log in to your Kaplan account and contact us via the Support tab or chat to provide us your official test score report.
  • Prior to taking the official MCAT exam, you can contact Kaplan within 60 days of your program expiration date and extend your access to your online resources (excluding live classes, accountability coaching, and tutoring) for an additional 12 weeks. If you have completed the recommended work outlined in this policy, Kaplan will reactivate your access to your online resources for free. If you have not completed the recommended work outlined in this policy, you can extend your access by purchasing more time.

Note: If you obtain an extension by either means, you are no longer eligible for the 515+ Score or 15+ Point Increase Guarantee.

Didn't Score a 515+ Or Increase Your Baseline By 15 Points?

If you complete the program and put in the recommended work, take the official test, and your score on test day is not a 515+ OR 15+ points higher depending on your baseline exam, you have 1 of 2 options:

  1. Free re-enrollment: you can contact Kaplan within 60 days of your Kaplan program expiration date and ask to continue your studies, and we’ll re-enroll you in Online Bootcamp, 10 hours of Premium Tutoring, or either 515+ MCAT Course or 6 months of access to a Live Online MCAT prep course for a repeat of your original enrollment, completely free.
  2. Money back: you can request your money back.

If you choose free reactivation/re-enrollment and you need more time after that, you can extend your access by purchasing more time.

Preparing for the MCAT exam is a marathon, and it’s important to promote the best conditioning. An important part of the process is scheduling the official test in a timely manner related to the end of your live course to ensure that you don’t lose momentum with a long break. Taking the test within 60 days helps prevent you from forgetting material from earlier in the program. It’s a big commitment, but we know it will pay off.

If you don’t feel ready to take the MCAT exam within 60 days of your last Bootcamp or live course session, you may request an extension, provided you are within 60 days of your program expiration (the date of which will be displayed in your account resources). If you have not completed the recommended work outlined in the guarantee policy, you may purchase an extension. Either way, obtaining an extension means you are no longer eligible for the score/point guarantee or your money back.
