§ MCAT 515+ Score or 15+ Point Increase Guarantee
Effective for enrollments on or after August 4, 2025
For enrollments before August 4, 2025, please see terms and conditions here.
How Does the Guarantee Work?
This guarantee is limited to first-time Kaplan students enrolled in our 515+ MCAT Course, Premium Tutoring, or Online Bootcamp.
1. Establish Your Baseline:
- You must establish a baseline score prior to your first tutoring or live class session (whichever comes first) by completing the designated Kaplan baseline in your course syllabus.
- An official MCAT score report from the AAMC®, taken within 6 months before your class start date, may also be used as your baseline. If you select this option, it does not replace any of the required practice exams required for the guarantee.
- Previous official MCAT score reports can be submitted to customer.care@kaplan.com to be saved to your account.
2. Understand the Guarantee:
- If your baseline MCAT score is 500 or higher, we guarantee a minimum score of 515 on the official MCAT exam, provided you complete the required work. (e.g., If your baseline is 505, we guarantee you will score 515 or higher.)
- If your baseline MCAT score is under 500, we guarantee a 15-point improvement on the official MCAT exam, provided you complete the required work. (e.g., If your baseline is 490, we guarantee you will score 505 or higher.)
3. Meet the Timelines:
- You must take the official MCAT exam within 60 days of your last Bootcamp, Live Online, or In Person course session.
- Premium Tutoring students must allow for a minimum of 60 days to complete their studies to be eligible for the guarantee.
- To remain eligible, you may make a maximum of two (2) class schedule changes.

If you complete the program, fulfill all the required work, and do not achieve the guaranteed score, you must submit your official score report within 90 days of your MCAT test date to be eligible. Guarantee requests and official score reports can be sent to customer.care@kaplan.com and a member of our Student Support team will be in touch. Approved requests will have one of two options:
1. Free Re-enrollment: We will re-enroll you in your original program (Online Bootcamp, Premium Tutoring, or the 515+ MCAT Course) or provide 6 months of access to a Live Online MCAT prep course, completely free.

Important Notes:
- Extensions: You can extend access to your online resources (excluding live classes and tutoring) for 12 weeks. If you have completed the required work, this extension is free. Frequently Asked Questions
What do you mean it depends on my baseline exam?
If your baseline exam score is a 500 or higher, we guarantee you will score a minimum of 515 on the MCAT exam. If your baseline exam score is less than 500, we guarantee you will score at least 15 points higher on the MCAT exam. If you don’t score a 515+ or increase your score by 15+ points (depending on your baseline exam), we'll either give you your money back or let you retake your prep for free.
What is my baseline exam?
Your baseline exam is either the score you received on your first full-length practice test in your Kaplan program or an official MCAT exam taken within 6 months before your class start date.
What if my baseline exam score is 505? Are you guaranteeing I will score 15 points higher on the MCAT exam?
No. Because your baseline exam score is higher than 500, we are guaranteeing you will score a minimum of 515 on the MCAT exam. If you don’t score a 515+, we'll either give you your money back or let you retake your prep for free.
What if my baseline exam score is 490? Are you guaranteeing I will score a 515 on the MCAT?
No. Because your baseline exam score is less than 500, we are guaranteeing you will score at least 15 points higher on the MCAT exam. With a baseline score of 490, we guarantee you will score a minimum of 505 on the MCAT exam. If you don’t increase your score by 15+ points, we'll either give you your money back or let you retake your prep for free.
What if my baseline exam score is exactly 500? What are you guaranteeing?
Because your baseline exam score is a 500, you fall into the 500 or higher range, meaning we guarantee you will score a minimum of 515 on the MCAT exam. If you don’t score a 515+, we'll either give you your money back or let you retake your prep for free.
If I don’t reach the score or point increase you guaranteed me, are you going to give me my money back?
Yes. Provided you completed the recommended work, took your MCAT exam in the correct time frame (within 60 days of your last Bootcamp or live course session ending), and contact us within 90 days of your MCAT test date, you are eligible to receive your money back. Alternatively, you may also choose to retake your program for free. If you choose to repeat your program, you will no longer be eligible for the score/point guarantee or your money back.
Why is this work recommended?
We’ve analyzed the work of thousands of students to identify what work they completed to achieve a 15-point score improvement. We know that if you put in the time and complete the same level of effort, you will experience the same results. We guarantee it—or your money back.
How would I test out of the Content Refresher Placement quizzes and Application Placement quizzes?
Our programs provide pre-module assessments prior to these quizzes. If you get a passing score on your first attempt of the assessment, you are not required to complete the section.
Why do I need to take the MCAT exam within 60 days of my last Bootcamp or course session?
Preparing for the MCAT exam is a marathon, and it’s important to promote the best conditioning. An important part of the process is scheduling the official test in a timely manner related to the end of your live course to ensure that you don’t lose momentum with a long break. Taking the test within 60 days helps prevent you from forgetting material from earlier in the program. It’s a big commitment, but we know it will pay off.
What if I don’t feel ready to take the MCAT exam within 60 days of my last Bootcamp or live course session?
If you don’t feel ready to take the MCAT exam within 60 days of your last Bootcamp or live course session, you may request an extension, provided you are within 60 days of your program expiration (the date of which will be displayed in your account resources). If you’ve completed the recommended work outlined in the guarantee policy, we will provide you an extension for free. If you have not completed the recommended work outlined in the guarantee policy, you may purchase an extension. Either way, obtaining an extension means you are no longer eligible for the score/point guarantee or your money back.
